Don has been active in real estate for 54 years. His career started in 1972 in Washington, D.C. as a commercial real estate agent with Barnes, Morris & Pardoe. Don joined The Carey Winston Company in Bethesda, Maryland in 1978-84 as Assistant Vice President in the Commercial Sales Department. He formed Washington Property Group, Inc. in 1984 and specialized in land sales for selected clients. Don formed Virginia Property Group, Inc. in 1989 in Winchester, Virginia. Drawing from his earlier real estate experience, VPG is a full-service real estate company featuring residential & commercial sales, leasing & management.
Don has been active in many activities in Winchester/Frederick County-Past President of the Blue Ridge Board of Realtors; Past President of Winchester Rotary; Past Elected member of Frederick County School Board; Past Chairman of the Winchester Parking Authority and Old Town Development Board; former member of Finance Committee of Frederick County; and past board member of Loudoun Mutual Insurance Company.

Ronnie is a local Winchester resident and has been licensed in real estate for most of his life. He got his Virginia Realtor license in May 1972 and his Broker’s License in December. Ronnie was also a licensed Realtor in WV from June 1974 t o 1982 and again from 2007 to today, plus received his W V Broker license i n 2007 through present. He i s a member o f the Blue Ridge Association o f Realtors, Virginia Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors – earning the Realtor Emeritus status in 2014.
His background consists of being a Class “A” builder in both Virginia and West Virginia. He has personally developed over 800 acres in Frederick County, V A both in single family homes o n public water/sewer as well as those o n private well/septic systems. Ronnie built over 300 residential homes both for speculation (98%) and custom construction (2%); two (2) multi-family buildings; and 20,000 SF of office condominiums. In addition, he partnered in the construction, development, and sales of 120 age-qualified, single-family homes and i s a 50% partner in the construction, development, and sales of over 50,000 SF of office condos and 85,000 SF of commercial office and warehouse space.
Some o f Ronnie’s other accomplishments include being a Member o f the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers; being a Charter Member i n the Top o f Virginia Builders’ Association; and is a member of the National Association of Home Builders.
